CINCINNATI – The Cincinnati Coalition for Israel (CCFI) held its first meeting of the year on Monday, January 12, at the Orange Spot Bistro, convening supporters for a lunchtime briefing focused on recent developments surrounding the Abraham Accords and Israel’s current security situation.

The featured speaker was Joy Rothenberg, who traveled from Israel to provide an update on regional diplomatic efforts and to speak about the ongoing challenges facing Israeli society during the war. Rothenberg also shared personal reflections as the mother of a son currently serving in the Israel Defense Forces, addressing how combat soldiers are coping amid continued hostilities.

According to CCFI leadership, the event was organized on short notice due to Rothenberg’s limited availability, yet still drew a strong turnout and meaningful community support.

“We got a good turnout,” said Darrell Radin of CCFI. “It was a last-minute thing because of Joy’s busy schedule, and considering the tight turnaround, we got a lot of interest. We got several events lined up, and we are announcing our next event very shortly.”

Radin also noted that CCFI is currently engaged in legislative efforts at the state level.

“We are also working on passing a couple of bills with the Ohio Legislature,” he said. “So, we have plenty of things to accomplish in the first half of the year. We couldn’t do any of this without our donors.”

CCFI officials said additional programming and advocacy initiatives will be announced in the coming weeks as the organization continues its efforts to support Israel through education, policy engagement, and community outreach.
